Alien: Covenant TV Spot "Take Me Home" Movie Trailers and Videos

Editor Job Willins made a fan trailer combining Ridley Scott's contributions to the franchise, "Alien" and "Prometheus," into a single story called "Derelict." The new spot that debuted tonight during the NCAA Basketball Finals is suitably moody, suitably creepy, and just the right side of suitably gross. The beginning of the trailer almost looks like a travel ad. Various locations such as mountains and bodies of water on the alien planet are shown while Denver's famous tune plays in the background. Then the humans start exploring, and make a few shocking discoveries. They find bodies, and Elizabeth Shaw's dog tags from Weyland Corp.

During the National Basketball Championship, a TV Spot for Alien Covenant aired with an Easter egg that lead to another trailer. Great trailer, but I really think they're showing the alien too clearly and in too bright lighting for my taste.

Denver’s classic “Take Me Home” aside, the trailer has plenty of other highlights. A few things are already known aboutCovenant. The humans are a crew of 2,000, mostly couples, who are looking for a planet to live on and populate. They are accompanied by an android named Walter, who looks exactly like David. And the planet they end up on is the Engineer's home world.

Both a face hugger and a full grown xenomorph attack different members of the crew, who desperately are trying to figure out what is happening. I also wanted to share a screenshot from later in this trailer. It appears to be a person, from the new crew I believe, in the ship looking at what I assume is a recording like David watched in Prometheus. Needs to review the security of your connection before proceeding. You are not allowed to view this material at this time. The otherworldly vistas from the colony world the film’s protagonists end up on are gorgeous, as is the ominous sense of “abandoned” conveyed by the empty habitats.
